«Connection e.V.», together with «Pax Christi International» (including its Italian and Scottish branches), «War Resisters’ International» (WRI), «Quaker Council for European Affairs» (QCEA), and «Un Ponte Per», is organising a thematic webinar to shed light on how civil society is mobilising against the militarisation of Europe and supporting the right to conscientious objection.

We will hear first-hand accounts from activists who defend the human right to conscientious objection (including our colleagues from the «Conscientious Objection Watch») or who are campaigning against the reintroduction of conscription. We will also have the opportunity to hear directly from conscientious objectors who refuse to serve.

Our international advocacy coordinator, Zaira Zafarana, will open the panel with a short introduction to the human right to conscientious objection.
