(10.05.2024) Grußwort zum 15. Mai 2024, dem Internationaler Tag für das Menschenrecht Kriegsdienstverweigerung. Wohin werden aktuelle Appelle führen, militärische ‚Wehrkraft‘ zu stärken und „kriegstüchtig“ zu werden? Seit Menschengedenken folgt auf „Kriegsertüchtigung“ Krieg. Deutscher Erfahrung nach, zuletzt im 19. und 20. Jahr- hundert, mit tödlicher Sicherheit für Viele. Die immensen staatlichen Ressourcen, die im 21. Jahrhundert immer noch für Rüstung, Militär, Personal, den Auf- und Ausbau von ‚Sicherheitsstrukturen‘ aufgewendet werden, fehlen nicht nur für zivile öffentliche Zwecke, sondern sie bewirken aus der Sicht potentieller oder tatsächlicher Konflikt- beteiligter zwangsläufig eine Steigerung des Bedrohungspotentials. Sie erhöhen damit Ängste und Gefahren einer gewaltsamen ‚Entladung‘.
